⚠️ IMPORTANT NOTICE REGARDING WATER BILL PAYMENTS ⚠️
The Town of Maurice would like to remind all water customers that Ordinance No. 26-4, adopted by the Board of Aldermen on April 15, 2026, amended the Town’s water service policies regarding delinquent accounts and service disconnections.
As previously advertised and communicated to customers by mail, water service accounts that remain unpaid beyond 15 business days of the due date are subject to disconnection in accordance with the ordinance.
Unfortunately, we have recently experienced an increase in service disconnections due to accounts remaining unpaid after the allowable payment period. While we understand that circumstances can arise, the Town must administer and enforce its ordinances fairly and consistently for all customers.
Customers are strongly encouraged to monitor billing due dates and make payments on time to avoid:
• Water service interruption
• Reconnection fees
• Additional inconvenience and delays in restoring service
The Town of Maurice is committed to providing reliable utility services and appreciates the cooperation of our residents in helping us maintain an efficient and financially responsible water system.

This is great! I hope there will be some type of inclusive playground equipment or even a splash pad so all of our kiddos with special needs in our community can enjoy as well! We would love to be able to play at our local park instead of having to drive to Lafayette or Youngsville to play.
At least it won’t be another neighborhood. Build something beautiful. A community garden wouldn’t be a bad idea. A native plant butterfly garden would be amazing too.

Please be advised that if your water service has been disconnected due to nonpayment, the past due balance, disconnect fee, and reconnect fee must all be paid in full prior to restoration of service.
Payments made after 3:00 PM, or on weekends, or holidays will not be eligible for same-day reconnection. Water service will be restored on the next business day after payment has been verified and processed.
