The Town of Maurice is proud to welcome Rachael’s Cafe and congratulate Rachael Hebert and her family on the grand opening of their second location at 8218 Maurice Avenue!
This opening is especially meaningful because, in many ways, it represents a return home. The new restaurant sits on the same property where Rachael’s family once operated Soop’s, reconnecting a longtime local family with the Maurice community in a very special way.
On behalf of the Mayor, Town Council and the entire Town of Maurice, congratulations to the Rachael’s Cafe family! We wish you many years of success and look forward to watching you become part of the next chapter of Maurice’s story.
The U.S. Census Bureau is currently mailing preliminary census survey packets to select households across our community.
If you receive a packet, we strongly encourage you to complete and return it as soon as possible. Your participation helps ensure an accurate count of our population, which directly impacts funding for roads, infrastructure, public safety, schools, parks, and other important community services.
Not every household will receive a packet, but if yours does, please take a few minutes to respond. Every response helps paint a more accurate picture of our growing community.
Thank you for helping make sure Maurice is properly represented!
⚠️ IMPORTANT NOTICE REGARDING WATER BILL PAYMENTS ⚠️
The Town of Maurice would like to remind all water customers that Ordinance No. 26-4, adopted by the Board of Aldermen on April 15, 2026, amended the Town’s water service policies regarding delinquent accounts and service disconnections.
As previously advertised and communicated to customers by mail, water service accounts that remain unpaid beyond 15 business days of the due date are subject to disconnection in accordance with the ordinance.
Unfortunately, we have recently experienced an increase in service disconnections due to accounts remaining unpaid after the allowable payment period. While we understand that circumstances can arise, the Town must administer and enforce its ordinances fairly and consistently for all customers.
Customers are strongly encouraged to monitor billing due dates and make payments on time to avoid: • Water service interruption • Reconnection fees • Additional inconvenience and delays in restoring service
The Town of Maurice is committed to providing reliable utility services and appreciates the cooperation of our residents in helping us maintain an efficient and financially responsible water system.
If you have questions regarding your account, please contact Town Hall during normal business hours.
Notice is hereby given pursuant to Article 7, Section 23( C ) of the Louisiana Constitution and R.S. 47:1705(B) that a public hearing of the Town of Maurice will be held at its regular meeting...
We are excited to announce a new, convenient service for all residents of the Town of Maurice. You can now pay your water bill online quickly and securely. How to Pay Online: Visit our website.Click...

We really do need funding for roads, but my concern is… If every household doesn’t receive one, it won’t be very accurate.
